At Camps ‘R’ Us, every activity is intentional. From the gym to the art room, the gaga pit to the STEAM lab, each part of our program is designed to help children move, create, explore, and connect. Whether your child is a first-timer or a returning camper, they’ll find something familiar to love and something new to discover. This is what a full summer looks like.
For Long Island families, Camps ‘R’ Us is known for offering a wide range of fun, high-quality experiences that kids look forward to all summer long. As a family-owned and operated camp serving the community since 1993, we are proud to be ACA-accredited, fully licensed and permitted by County Departments of Health, and recognized with a Safety 1st designation for 10 consecutive years.
Take a look at the activity categories below to see how our programs mix creativity, adventure, learning, and active play to create unforgettable summer experiences for children and teens.
Every summer camp activity we offer our campers is designed to blend fun with meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, and create lasting memories. Through structured activities, children build confidence, strengthen social skills, practice teamwork, develop independence, and grow resilience in a supportive environment.
We thoughtfully balance movement, creativity, and learning throughout the summer to keep kids engaged, active, and growing, both mentally and physically, between school years.
Activities such as Arts & Crafts, Edible Art, STEAM projects, and WonderWorks® give campers hands-on opportunities to create, build, and explore. Through our programs, campers can explore their imaginations, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build self-confidence, while also discovering new interests through fun, interactive camp activities.
Campers get plenty of chances to jump into action with court sports, field sports, Gaga, gym activities, Splash Zone fun, and swimming throughout the day. Active play opportunities also help campers build teamwork, practice sportsmanship, and grow their confidence while developing important social and athletic skills along the way.
There’s something special happening every day at Camps ‘R’ Us! From foam parties and silent discos to field trips to places like Adventureland, Topgolf, and the Long Island Children’s Museum, campers get to have a new adventure with their friends every week.
Our younger campers’ programs, like our Tiny Tots® program, are designed with guided participation, creative projects, swimming, and active play that are just right for our younger campers. Early experiences like these can help little ones build confidence, make new friends, and feel excited and comfortable as they try new things in a supportive environment.
Programs for our older campers, like Explorers®, are designed to grow with them, offering bigger field trips, more advanced activities, and expanded opportunities to connect with peers. As they take on new experiences, teens build independence, strengthen leadership skills, and continue learning and growing in a supportive camp environment.
As campers grow, our activities naturally become more advanced and age-appropriate, creating a smooth progression from year to year. This approach allows children to build on what they’ve already learned while continuing to explore new interests, gain confidence, and stay engaged each summer.
Our camp was created to help campers of all ages build confidence, teamwork, communication skills, creativity, and independence in a natural, supportive way. Whether they’re learning a new skill, trying something new, or making a new friend, campers stay engaged while developing abilities that last well beyond the summer. Interested in learning more?
