Explorers®

The Camps ‘R’ Us Explorers® Program is an exciting new travel-based experience for campers completing 5th through 8th grade. It combines three off-campus trips each week with on-campus activities, special events, and performances, providing older campers with a unique mix of adventure, fun, and personal growth. All trip fees are included in the camp tuition, and families can choose between a 3-day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) trip-only option or a full 5-day week, which includes additional on-campus activities.

The key difference between the Explorers® Program and the traditional day camp is the focus on off-campus travel. Explorers enjoy three off-campus trips each week, visiting exciting destinations, while the traditional day camp offers daily on-campus activities, with a few trips scheduled throughout the summer. Explorers also have the option to choose a 3-day trip-only experience or a 5-day week, blending trips with on-campus fun. Both programs provide engaging, age-appropriate activities, but Explorers is designed specifically for older campers who are looking for more adventure and independence. Plus, all trip fees for Explorers are included in the camp tuition.

Yes! While the Explorers® Program focuses on off-campus trips, campers still get to enjoy the traditional camp experience. On non-trip days, Mondays and Fridays, during the 5-day full-week option, campers participate in a variety of on-campus activities, special events, and performances that are designed to be fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and the classic camp experience, giving Explorers the best of both worlds!
